Due to ongoing precautions during the pandemic, this year’s Spring Oyster Crawl will become a “Spring Oyster Celebration”. Instead of “crawling” from winery to winery, we encourage visitors to make a reservation and spend the day at their favorite participating Trail winery to enjoy wine and oyster pairings.
Reservations may be required as seating will be limited due to social distancing requirements. We encourage you to check with participating wineries to learn more about their events, including hours and safety guidelines. Several wineries may also feature live music.
The following wineries are confirmed to be hosting an oyster-related event (this page will be updated as information becomes available):

Event name: Oyster Feast
Dates: Saturday, April 24 from 12-7pm & Sunday, April 25 from 2-6pm
Description: Family Food Palace will serve Oysters Rockefeller and Fried Oysters, along with several other menu options. Live music from Backwood Saints on Saturday and Shelby Lynn Madison on Sunday.
Reservations info: Reservations are not required. There will be plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Customers may bring their own tents and chairs as well.

Event Name: Shuck’n, Pluck’n, Pick’n & Cider
Dates: Saturday, April 24 & Sunday, April 25
Description: Menu will include: Virginia oysters – raw, fried and roasted; Farm-raised deep fried turkey; Farm raised roasted pig. Live music by the Legal Tender Trio (1-4pm on Saturday; 11am-2pm on Sunday). Rain date: May 22 & 23.

Description: Oysters Rockefeller & Oysters with North Carolina Cackalacky Sauce by Jay’s Place. Live music on Saturday from 2-5pm by Ronnie Richards and on Sunday from 1:30-4:30pm by Jamie & Tyler. Outdoor and indoor seating will be available.

Event name: Plan on a Shelluva Good Time (Oysters, Wine & Music)
Dates: Saturday, April 24 from 11-6pm & Sunday, April 25 from 12-5pm
Description: Food will be available for sale from the Salty Bob’s Oyster & Seafood Co. food truck. On Saturday, the City Farm Band will perform bluegrass from 1:30-4:30. Tidewater Oysters Gardener Association (TOGA) will be on site all weekend for those interested in learning about process of growing oysters. Glass and bottles sales only; tastings will not be available on this weekend.

Description: Featuring several styles of oysters prepared on-site by Denson’s Chesapeake Bay Farm to Table.
Reservations info: Reservations will be required for this event and should be made by Tuesday, April 20 by calling the winery during normal business hours (12-5pm daily). Tables may be reserved in advance for groups of 6 or more. Seating for other reservation holders will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis on day of event.
