Enjoy a delightful art and wine crawl throughout the Northern Neck on Saturday, Sept. 8! This event is a collaboration between the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail and the Northern Neck Artisan Trail with the goal of bringing together the region’s finest wines and arts. Fall is our harvest season and a great time to visit our wine trail!
For this collaborative event, participating wineries from the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail will join members of the Northern Neck Artisan Trail in offering a variety of special activities throughout the Northern Neck.
PARTICIPATING WINERIES (Listed in alphabetical order – times may vary by winery):
Caret Cellars – 495 Meadow Landing Ln, Caret, VA 22436: Caret Cellars, which is part of the new “River to Bay” Artisan Trail in the Middle Peninsula, will also take part in this event. Watch them harvest grapes from this vintage or bottle wine if harvest isn’t ready by this date. Two for one tastings will be available.
General’s Ridge Vineyard – 1618 Weldons Rd, Hague, VA 22469: Take $3 off of any three GRV series wines, to include GRV Red, White or Rosé (mix or match).
Good Luck Cellars – 1025 Good Luck Rd, Kilmarnock, VA 22482: Good Luck Cellars will celebrate Arts on the Vine with a two-for-one tasting, including a souvenir tasting glass. Enjoy a visit to the winery and a relaxing time on the porches.
Ingleside Vineyards – 5872 Leedstown Rd, Oak Grove, VA 22443: Enjoy a tasting of 8 wines for $8, including a souvenir glass. Take a tour and learn about Ingleside’s history and winemaking process. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the European-style courtyard. A special sale on select wines will also be offered.
Jacey Vineyards – 619 Train Ln, Heathsville, VA 22579: Jacey Vineyards will welcome artist Nancy Jacey and the Allure Art Center for Arts on the Vine. Sample a tasting of 9 wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Vidal Blanc and Zinfandel (wine tastings: $10 per person). Meat and cheese platters, as well as pizza, will be available for purchase.
Oak Crest Vineyard & Winery – 8215 Oak Crest Dr, King George, VA 24485: Browse through the artisan gift shop where several artists have work on display. During Arts on the Vine, Oak Crest will be showcasing Daniel Christie, a talented studio potter from King George, VA.
Vault Field Vineyards – 2953 Kings Mill Rd, Kinsale, VA 22488: Vault Field will offer free tastings, tours and a 50% discount on its 2009 Conundrum (while supplies last).
