Welcome to Trail Talk! We’re so glad you’re here!

Posts on our new “Trail Talk” blog introduce you to the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail, acquaint you with unique aspects of Trail member-wineries (including a cidery), announce special events and activities, alert you to wine sales and other deals, explore members’ locations in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula of Virginia, and share knowledge and the love of all things wine–especially #VAwine!

The Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail is located in the Chesapeake Bay area of Virginia’s wine country. The trail, originally called the “Northern Neck Wine Trail”, was formed in the mid-2000’s by a group of wineries in the Northern Neck. The name was changed to Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail to reflect the growth in membership and expansion into areas beyond the Northern Neck, such as the Middle Peninsula.

To get to know us a little better, have a look around our website. Meet Trail members, save the date for upcoming signature wine and food pairing events (like our spring and fall oyster crawls), plan an itinerary and get recommendations for nearby lodging and attractions.

On our home page, sign up for our monthly eNewsletter to stay informed about wine trail news. Follow us on social media (FacebookInstagramTwitter) to see gorgeous photos and videos shared by our members and guests, and YouTube to watch our own videos showcasing every season on the Trail.

If you love Virginia wine as much as we do, please subscribe to and share this blog with other wine lovers. Tell your friends, share to your own social media, and, mostly, support our members by visiting their wineries and/or purchasing their wines to take home.

Have any thoughts about the topics on our blog? Is there a particular subject you’d like us to discuss? Send us a note via our contact form. Your feedback is always appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to check out Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail’s new blog Trail Talk. We look forward to hearing from you, engaging with and meeting you on the Trail!

Cheers!
